Year 3 Semester 1 - Connecting Spaces
Project Title: Cheonggyecheon Restoration Project
Site: Seoul, South Korea
Cheonggyecheon Masterplan
We started the semester with a group work to discuss the rejuvination of the Cheonggyecheon, or Cheonggye River, that is situated in the middle of Seoul. By setting up the entire strip of river, we provided the context for our site plot.
Masterplan Model
Zooming into the site, the area allocated for my project consisted of an urban green. Sandwiched between an existing coarse grained Seun Sanga, the current electronics mart, and some fine grained hardware shops, i attempted to use the green to mediate between these 2 typologies, while slotting in a Digital Media Centre into the basement.
